16 year old student and work?

Asking for a friend, son is 16 going on to 6th form this autumn, he's applied for a Saturday job and hopefully more hours when he can fit them around studying..... mother gets WT/CT and HB, does she need to declare son's earnings? Thank you.

The non dependent has to be 18 yrs old for deductions from HB to happen.

If the child is in full time non-advanced education they can work as many hours as they wish.
