Margarita Island - Rainfall in November/December?

Hi,

We are thinking of going to Margarita Island in the Caribbean end of November for 2 weeks - and wondered what the rainfall is likely to be like? According to web sources it averages about 23cm in November which seems a heck of a lot - even if they are short monsoons?

Has anyone been there or in the region that time of year and can provide their experience? Don't want to book somewhere with it raining permanently for 2 weeks!

Clima: El clima de la región es del tipo árido y semiárido con dos períodos lluviosos y dos secos distribuidos en dos áreas geográficas bien diferenciadas. Una se ubica en el macizo montañoso oriental cuya estación lluviosa principal corresponde al trimestre noviembre-diciembre-enero, siendo diciembre el mes que presenta mayores precipitaciones. La otra abarca el resto de la isla cuya estación lluviosa principal corresponde al periodo junio-agosto, siendo este último el mes de máxima precipitación.


It basically says that on the oriental part of the island rainfall is Nov to Jan, on the rest of the island Jun to Aug.
