Tenerife transfers,should i arrange them before we go or get taxi at airport??

We are going to Tenerife in about 6 week,i havent arranged transfers,was wondering whether anyone could recommend whether i should arrange transfers before we go or just get taxi at airport,we are a family of 5,our flight out gets us to Tenerife at 11.30pm,and we depart at te same time coming back.

We used Viajes Islas canarias on a recent trip to Lanzarote. They were excellant and also opperate in Tenerife. Slightly more expensive than jumping in a taxi at the airport but so worth it for peace of mind espiecally as you like us are a family of five.. And you almost feel important when you come through arrivals and see a board with your name on it.. I know little things please ....:D

We've always just got a taxi at the rank at the airport...there are always plenty and the longest we've ever had to wait was about 15 minutes

HI thanks for that,we went to Salou last year and got taxis straight outside the airport and on the way back the hotel booked them for us,i will def have a look at the links,does anyone know what the transfer time is to puerto santiago from airport.:T

A taxi for 4 will cost 20-25 euros, but as there is 5 of you then you won't fit into a taxi.

for years we have been using.

Thanks for that,any idea how much they charge,sent them e mail but nothing back so far,not even sure how long it will take to get to our resort..

There is a taxi rank/stand outside the airport, there is also a list of prices to what ever resort you require

one thing to note, i'm sure after a certain time (and certainly the time you arrive) the fares go up (night rate)

we have used a taxi to and from the airport to Los Cristanos price worked out at 25 euros

and like a few others have said taxis only take 4

I used thse this year.. 16 euros each way for 2 of us.to las americas .prob a bit more for 5.

They were waiting at airport when we arrived so we left without waiting.

On return I rang them the day before and they picked us up from hotel when we wanted then to.

You dont prepay either.

HI,Thanks for that, we e mailed them and they have quoted us 65 each way, so think we will prob go with them,just need car parking and insurance now...any recomendations..:think:
