Eurotunnel - how far in advance?

Had a quick search but not found the answer so just thought I'd ask!
Not going away til next May, but want to be prepared (and not forget to book!). Booked the accommodation but will need to book Eurotunnel. Never travelled with them before so just have a couple of questions...
Is there a good time to book it? How far in advance should you do it to get the time(s) you want? (I'll be paying by tesco deals btw). Do you get any good deals coming out at any point and would I still get them using TD?
Cheers for any help.:D

From my personal experience, the sooner you book, the cheaper it is. Eurotunnel rarely has special offers on0

Do you know if they can be used on any Eurotunnel ticket or only flexiplus? It specifically mentiions Flexiplus in the info http://www.tesco.com/CLUBCARD/DEALS/PRODUCTINFOSHEETS/S6018.PDF but it doesn't say you can't use them towards cheaper tickets. When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.0

If you're paying by Tesco vouchers then price is fixed - until next booklet is issued. If your dates are absolutely fixed then there is no benefit in waiting to book. Availability does become limited during peak holiday times0

How do you mean they are fixed? Are they different prices to the ones on the Eurotunnel website?
Sorry if these are stupid questions, I really don't understand how it all works. I usually get mine automatically converted into Airmiles so I've never used them as 'deals'.
As I understand it, I have to wait for my November vouchers, convert them to travel vouchers and then phone up to book the ticket. But is there a way of seeing price and availability before converting the vouchers? When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.0 -
Apologies I misread your question. Eurostar has fixed prices where you buy an actual ticket; with Eurotunnel you exchange tesco vouchers for eurotunnel vouchers, £10 gets you £40. Price will vary depending on time, length of visit, number of travellers etc. Not sure how that compares with doing it via Airmiles - might be worth a comparison0

I would sign up to their newsletter. They usually send some offers by email.0
