    Morning all

Cloudy and much cooler here today thankfully. I didn't sleep very well last night so will probably just have a lazy day today. I have no plans and no car so am trapped anyway! OH kids are at a sports course, they tend to go during the holidays for childcare and really enjoy it.

OS wise - I want to get the ties sorted for the cushions I covered and then hopefully OH can move the chair up to the nursery tonight, DW will go on, upstairs needs a hoover, general tidy round. Also need to check I have all the ingredients to make cupcakes for OH's daughter's birthday on the weekend.

Have a good day all x

    Morning all

I dropped hubby at work at 7:30 then went on to DD's to sort out breakfast and change nappies etc.
I stayed with the littlest whilst DD did the school run, and I cleaned the bathroom. DGS has finished for the summer

Allegedly someone is coming to collect and pay for my Denby china today I really hope she turns up.

This afternoon I'm going to see what the Co-op £5 deal is this week, if it's stuff I'll use I buy it. I also want to buy some new socks for the DGC as they seem to have hundreds of odd ones but no matching pairs.

I have a 2nd load of washing ready to go on the line and more in the machine, I'm planning on having all DGS's uniform ready by the end of the week like I used to do for my kids, so there is no mad rush in September.

    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Hi Chums ,yes carolebee Westgate is one of our favourite spots The sands are great and when the tide goes out the 'crabbing ' is good. There is also a nice cafe along the front where I sit with my book or knitting just under the shade and keep an eye on the boys whilst they are on the beach, they do a pretty good cuppa as well :) I am an easy person to please my grandchildren, a cuppa, and either my knitting or a book and I am set for the day :)

The boys picked scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast this morning, they enjoy having a cooked breakfast in the summer holidays as normally its cereal or toast for quickness as they are usually out of the house by 8.15.

Shortly we shall be popping back to my house to pay my gardener who has come to give the back garden a mow and tidy up and we will pick up all the crafting bits for our holiday calendar.

Soup and fruit is on the menu for lunch Then probably a ride down to the country park so they can run around and let off a bit of steam(usually involve a bit of tree climbing ) not for me though :):)I'm not that energetic and my tree climbing days are over :)

Nice breeze blowing at the moment and I'm sitting on their decking in the shade watching two of them bouncing on the trampoline Jack the eldest here at the moment is far too grown up for such things :)He has a shift at the charity shop later, and he is also awaiting a phone call to see if he has got a part-time job in the newsagents that he applied for Fingers crossed.

    have a good day everyone

  • Morning,

Woke up this morning to go to the gym however I turned the alarm off instead of snoozing and woke up 20 minutes later, so no point in going to the gym so I got up and made myself a healthy and filling breakfast. Get into work (first as usual) and the internet is down! So writing a list of things to do and doing things that don’t need the internet. Just shows how much we all rely on it these days. I’ll go a run this lunchtime with my colleague and that’ll be my exercise for the day although my legs are in bits from the gym yesterday.

Tonight is FIFA and fajitas night with my mate. His turn to pay so he’ll buy the ingredients and we’ll jointly rustle them up. My GF thinks it’s hugely childish that I still play the Xbox at 25 but it’s a carefree and harmless past time that I really enjoy, particularly with my friends and it’s one of the things that went on that bloody credit card at £300 so I intend to make the most of it.

I’ve been told the internet is a national thing, so hopefully it wont be long.

I’ll post this as soon it’s we’re up and running. Yay!!

Speky my son is the same age as you and he still plays when with mates, play station rather than X box.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

I found I could not sleep because of the hot weather and kept waking up for a drink of water etc. I finally drifted into a deep sleep only to be woken at before 7a.m. by a neighbour's dog barking. Decided to just be lazy today and play things by ear.

I have an avocado to use so might have it on toast with a cup of tea and then later have the chicken and veg pasta I made last night. It does not seem to be quite as hot here which should help my swollen feet a bit.

I hope the person comes to pay for the china.

DD still trying to explain to diet leader that when she is away on business - it is business - with evening discussions as well as presentations and she cannot just "pop off" to another group. Consultant just does not seem to get it!!! She also does not get that if the builders are here and I need to go to choose and collect things like flooring, tiles , paint or else be here to make a decision when they find something previous owner has bodged  I am not a child or senile and do not need her pointing out to my dd that I have missed a session. Think the heat is making me sulky ;)

    Hugs to all

Popping back in to say that Mum has already heard back from the surgery, they want her to go back in tomorrow morning for blood tests and will also get a further appointment from the hospital for more detailed scans.
They think there is a problem in her pelvic area but really wouldn't go into much detail, Mum did say they concentrated on that area whilst doing the scan and she was asked if had had a hysterectomy?
Still no real answers, as you can imagine am thinking all's sorts of things right now but trying not to jump to conclusions until we know for sure.

LAINY T hope your mum gets better soon.

JACKIE O sounds like your grandsons will have a brilliant holiday.

Feeling a bit down today so had a mooch round town. Nothing in charity shops. Free coffee from Waitrose. I don't like the summer holidays as feel they are too long especially for a child like my daughter who has mild additional needs and her anger is directed at me . There is nothing locally for her to do , perhaps something will come from her work experience. My anxiety normally worsens as a result.

Husband s job situation still uncertain. Consultation period has been extended due to holidays. If the worst happens I've enough meds for us to take off in our caravan for however long.No tea to cook as Indian takeaway for sons birthday treat.

Hugs to those who want / need them.
