Animation gift ideas please

We have lots of grandchildren so my budget per child is £15 for Christmas, plus we buy them a book.
Our 10yr old grandson is really into animation. Does anyone have any suggestions for an animation gift we could buy him for Christmas. I am thinking along the lines of something he can create with for his animation. Or am I being too hopeful for my budget.

Depends what you mean. There are programmes for the computer - which he may have anyway. There are also clay type figures like Morph if he makes the stop motion movies by taking lots of pics. Really you need to know what he does.

Currently he poses his Lego figures and changes their position as he films it on Mums iPad. I was wondering if there was something else other than the Lego men. I think you will have guessed that this isn't my thing so I am shooting in the dark for ideas. ��

If he's doing stop-motion, then maybe playmobil, clay, pens and card for making sets, model-making stuff for making sets (eg model train stuff), poymorph (moldable, paintable plastic which he can use to augment the existing lego characters)

Fabulous book in Waterstones called "Animation Lab" £16.99. Don't know if is is the right age group.
I was looking there because last Christmas I nearly bought my grandson a sort of gift/craft box where you set cardboard cut out figures onto different backgrounds and film it. It was packaged in a box like a book but I couldn't find it.
I didn't buy because my grandson isn't a bit arty.
