I have an HP Pavilion g6 laptop, which I have just had to restore to factory settings.
Now I keep getting a message saying Disk E is running out of space. I have tried to Google the problem but non of the suggestions work.
I would be really grateful if anyone could help me sort this out.
I also need a driver for my printer hp psc 1317, which is unavailable on the HP Website, I think it must be too old,
Thank You in anticipation.

Is Drive E a partition on your hard disk? Or an optical drive?
If the former, download WinDirStat to see what's on it. Or browse it through Windows Explorer.0 -
Also when you restored it all your previous data may have been saved thus filling up the hd.“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”

It's a partition on the hard disk. If I do as you suggest and see what's on it how wil I know what's safe to removependragon_arther wrote: »Also when you restored it all your previous data may have been saved thus filling up the hd.
Yes, but how do I get rid of it ?What operating system are you using ?
Windows 7, was going to update to 10 before free offer finishes on 29th0 -
Do a search for 'windows old' folder. If it's there see how big it is.“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”

How many partitions do you have?
Download WinDirStat, run it, take a screenshot of the results on each partition, upload them to Photobucket or similar, and post them here.
Typical things to delete include redundant photos, music etc. as well as internet caches - but you can't decide on that without seeing what's there.0
