credit footprint can't be found

Can anyone help?
I’m trying to get a mortgage, however the money lenders are unable to find a credit footprint for me.
I’ve been living at the same rented house for the last 12 months; previously I was out of the country for 9 years. I’ve had bank accounts, credit cards and mortgages in my name since the late 80’s.
I discovered this year that the address of my rented house hasn’t existed on the Royal Mail database for some time – the Council had re-numbered it a couple of years ago without telling any-one (including Council Tax!). So back in March, I registered for the electoral role, updated my address with my 2 banks, 4 credit cards, driving license and everything that exists in my name to the new legitimate address that does exist on Royal Mail’s database. Same street and postcode, just a different house number.
I’ve been checking with Noodle on a regular basis waiting for my credit footprint to appear, but it never has. Finally when I found the house I wanted to purchase, I instructed my mortgage advisor to try and proceed to obtain a mortgage, however none of the money lenders could find a credit footprint for me.
Can anyone offer an explanation, and more importantly, what to do about it?
Thanks in anticipation…..
