Shared ownership - Trace and repair leak. Who pays?

Hi,
I co-own with Bromford Homes as a 50% ownership which I've owned for around 8 years.
I've recently started to incur an issue with the bath which leaks whenever it is used (not the shower so seemingly when there's an excessive amount of water to drain). The leak is coming into the entrance of the property which is also close to the electrics for the house.
Today I have contacted NHBC and Lovell Builders about this and both have instructed that this is an issue that Bromford Homes should have addressed as the property is still relatively new.
I've also contacted Bromford Homes who are effectively washing their hands of any responsibility with this situation and would instead expect me to fund any work to investigate and repair this obvious issue with drainage from the upper bathroom. I've always paid my share of rent and building insurance for the property which is part of the contract as a shared owner.
Is it fair to expect that this insurance would be expected to cover the cost of tracing a leak within the house? All other parties are washing their hands of dealing with this which leaves me forced to stump up the cost to trace and repair the leak and inevitably the repair of this too.
Any advice on how to proceed?
