I've been reading through many threads - but clearly not sufficiently - over the last many months to respond to three NtK I received last July and then subsequently 3 LBCs. They're for a car I don't drive but am the registered keeper of. The PPC is TPS and the LBCs came from Premier Solicitors. Parking took place at a Uni with the sign stating pay&display/permit car park. The tickets were on the windscreen.
I haven't joined the forum for help until now as I'm embarrassed that 2 of the PCNs are for parking in a disabled bay without a permit/BB and one for being 'incorrectly positioned to the inconvenience of other users'. I know you'll not be impressed - I'm not either. I've done a mixture of ignore the PCNs, then respond but probably not robustly enough and too late.
Because of the nature of the tickets, I was just going to settle to make this go away, but then saw a post confirming it might be worth continuing to fight on grounds of signage, POFA etc. I originally requested a POPLA code (although it was after the 28 days) from TPS and stated that each £90 was no genuine pre-estimate of loss.
I responded to the LBCs stating that the LBC didn't comply with POFA 2012 (but didn't give any details why) and in what capacity Premier Solicitors were operating.
I have acknowledged the Court claim so need to sort a Part 18 and my defense - this is where I could do with some of your invaluable help. If I follow the guidance in the newbies - would someone mind checking them for me?
Thank you in advance.

Some info here may help, even though this one isn't at court claim stage, it mentions why the POFA applies (as long as you never said in any appeal, who parked/was driving?):
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5490348I responded to the LBCs stating that the [STRIKE]LBC[/STRIKE] NTK didn't comply with POFA 2012
Do you mean the NTK? LBC letters aren't within the POFA. NTKs are defined there but only apply in your case if you never said who was driving.
Yes we are happy to check over defences and suggest more things.I have acknowledged the Court claim so need to sort a Part 18 and my defense - this is where I could do with some of your invaluable help. If I follow the guidance in the newbies - would someone mind checking them for me?
Can you show us signage pictures and the NTK, and a close up of the 'Particulars of Claim' (car reg redacted) by hosting photos/scans on tinypic or Dropbox and then breaking the http link off?
You may as well fight it. How much were the PCNs, £100 a pop? How much have they tried to add on spuriously as 'fees'?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

There you go, coupon-mad is helping you as above. Deed done, no going back, regardless of the rights or wrongs, it's onwards and upwards now
My only comment is that Premier Solicitors are cropping up now, their aggression could well end up with egg on their faces just like Gladstones and Wright Hassall.
Most solicitors will not get involved with parking companies as the end product is unknown with our current county court lottery system.
PLUS, genuine solicitors do not work for pennies.
I guess that with Premier Solicitors, time will tell and then they might get into the Parking Pranksters hall of shame0 -
Would you trust any solicitors firm that grubs up with a parking bandit firm ?
I would not, they know what they are doing is wrong and immoral.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
Thank you coupon-mad. I'll check out the link.
I meant the LBC didn't comply with pre-action protocol. So many different areas to check! I've never admitted who the driver was - only that it wasn't me.
The tickets were £70 down to £35 if paid within 14 days and now up to £90.
I'll try and get the pictures up on dropbox.
Thank you0 -

100% agreed. It is possible that Premier Solicitors are in financial problems, many small ones are .... or they are simply plain stupid0 -
I can't add the link as I'm a new user. How do I get it to show?
0 -
I uploaded them to dropbox and made the changes suggested and also tried taking them out altogether - but the site won't allow it as I'm a new user - I'm not allowed to post any links. It won't even let me use the combination of letters with an h and a p together!0

What do you think I meant by:and then breaking the http link off?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Would anyone allow me to send them a PM please with the link to the photos, so that maybe you'd be able to edit the link and put it up here please?0
