Travel Insurance - cancelled holiday

Hello,

I recently had to cancel my holiday as my partner was very poorly. She was taken ill just before she had signed up for her travel insurance and thus it was cancelled with her having no travel insurance.

I however have travel insurance with my bank.

I would like to know of any experiences or advice with regards to claiming on this insurance for my half of the holiday.

Thanks

If you are covered for cancellation in these circumstances (and no exclusions apply regarding pre-existing conditions) then make your claim.
