New account rewards - without switching?

I want to open a second bank account which will just be for a modest amount of monthly spending - I won't be moving any direct debits or holding enough cash in there for interest etc to be worthwhile. I will be paying £400 in per month. Obviously it's not worth looking at any of the banks which reward me for switching - are there any which offer incentives to new customers like me?

It's not obvious to me. I'd be looking for a £100 switching incentive that didn't involve DDs or minimum monthly credits. And I'd get it by opening a donor account elsewhere.

Sorry feeling hot and cranky - ARE there any banks which will offer switching incentives which don't involve direct debits or minimum monthly credits? That's what I am looking for.

Then the answer to your question, in terms or 'serious' cash, is no.

Tesco might give you some clubcard points, and 3% AER on your cash until you spend it. TSB might generate some contactless cashback. Then again if all you're doing is withdrawing cash you won't get owt from TSB!

EDIT: It seems you've edited your post saying it doesn't have to be obvious to me.

So to your subsequent question, which is answered in the switching article on the main site, and to which I was alluding to in my first reply above...the answer is yes, Halifax.

Halifax don't require DD for the incentive, only if you want the reward account.

HSBC have had offers that don't require DD.
