I was just checking the new 123 Lite Current Account and feel like its just waste of time.

    The £1 per month account fee is good for those who don't get so much cashback which the £5 fee on the regular 123 would wipe out.

    Probably good for those that have the potential for cash back on DD’s but hold a relatively small balance as no interest is paid.

    Ya I agree, it world be really intrusting if the account had something like up to 3% interest on £5000.

    They probably needed something to compete with the Natwest Reward account which also doesn't pay interest - though that still pays more in cashback

    RBS and Natwest have a fee of £3 and pays 3% cashback,
    Santander should have a account which give cashback on bills but also pays interest on the money people keep in the account but limited to say £5k
