'Supercard'/Tastecard

I clicked through the link for the Supercard in the MSE email on the morning I got it and paid for my free 45 day trial. When it arrived, it was only for 30 days and I wasn't eligible for the Tastecard. I telephoned and they said I must have clicked on the wrong link - rubbish, I clicked on the link in the email. They told me to email them, which I did on 26 July, but no reply. The 30 days will be up soon and I have not used it - useless and a total waste of £4.0

No-one has confirmed having received it, so I suspect that no-one has received it. I'm truly shocked that mse has allowed itself to be associated with this.0

If it was after the 5.56 deadline you only get a tastecard as long as you keep your supercard going0 -
I eventually got a reply to my complaint and 15 days has been added to the free trial, so it is now 45 days. I have also got my Tastecard code and redeemed it. Now have the Tastecard app on my phone. I applied for the Supercard on the day of the MSE email so the Tastecard should be valid for a year even though I will be cancelling the Supercard - will see what happens. All the other offers are useless to me - none of the 'pamper' venues are close to me. The only venue for free swimming is in the West Country, and the offer on AGT theatre tickets in the West End just takes you to the LoveTheatre site with the same discounts anyone can get from them. I phoned to enquire how you cancel and you have to contact them 3 days before the free trial ends to prevent the first month's subscription being taken from your bank.0

I received the digital tastcard. I signed up, paid the £3.99 and then registered for the Tastecard. The link came through fairly promptly and the Tastecard issued without a problem.0 -
Fail to see how to redeem the free stay at hotel offer. Can only book on day 31 of 45 day trial. Must book between 14 and 45 days ahead. Therefore must always pay a month's subscription. Am I missing something?
Not saying it isn't a good deal at £14.95, but it isn't "free".0 -
Have put in a request for the one night hotel stay. You have to chose 3 hotels and 3 different dates. Will wait to see what happens. If I don't hear anything by the date I need to cancel by, will cancel anyway. Has anyone actually been able to book the hotel stay?0

Having an AWFUL time trying to cancel my Supercard trial. Tried for the last few days and spending 10+minutes on hold repeatedly and they don't answer. No reply to emails either! I will be furious if they take the next payment from me as I have been trying hard to get through.
It was a right scam really. The fantastic cinema offer that they had has been MASSIVELY scaled back and they have "no stock" of the majority of the vouchers now. I was lucky enough to get a full year tastecard but if they start charging me the monthly fee before I can get through to cancel it will not have been worth it at all! such hassle.0 -
Company is a complete shambles. Firstly they breach Data Protection, just quote any membership number and they'll confirm your name and address. Secondly, every attempt at trying to book a free hotel stay has been a complete waste of time. You have to give them THREE dates and THREE different hotels of which most only allow you to book Mon-Thurs. Finally, most of the free spa stuff is miles away from major cities. The rest of the website is of no interest and convoluted to use.
The only good thing about this was the Taste card.0 -

I got through straight away to cancel mine last week, there must be a lot of people leaving it late swamping the lines now :A
You could trying phoning your bank and asking them to block the continuous payment authority so they can't take the payment. I'm not how that would stand in terms of your contract with supercard though - perhaps an email and a letter (with proof of postage) advising them of your action and that you are cancelling in writing because you can't get through by phone would cover your back.0
