Wierd logging in issue

This morning can't log in to either NatWest or Santander banking sites -can't even connect. Yet able to browse freely elsewhere - I've got the hated Rapport installed so just wonder if this is causing the issues ??
Anyone else?

Having loads of problems here 50/50 logging in to any sites. I think last night's storms may have killed something. Rapport not installed.

edit : downdetector showing loads of problems.

edit : The only sites that seem rock solid are Plusnet and EE, everything else is slow - even MSE.

edit : Tesco Bank OK, can't get into TSB, Santander or Halifax/BOS.

I'm with BT broadband, and can't get access to Barclays or Santander, I think it's something linked with BT or PlusNet. Plusnet have posted a link on Twitter, stating that they are aware of an issue.

Internet very iffy this morning.

Lloyds, Bos, Halifax, TSB, M&S, First Direct, Barclays, Barclaycard - all unable to login. Nationwide and Yorkshire bank seem ok. Also various other sites - some ok and some not.

Using Safari on a Mac. Rapport not installed. BT broadband.

Can't get in to natwest either.

I don't have Rapport installed.

It seems to be a problem affecting UK ISP's (certainly BT, probably others). Using a proxy (based in Germany) I can access natwest.com though I wouldn't attempt to use any proxy to log in to my account for security reasons.

unable to log in to any of my bank accounts with different banks?
looks like the whole banking system is down-never known this before?

Has to be weather related - atmospheric pressure / lightning strikes? I can't access any bank sites and BBC site is iffy. Other sites don't load well.

May be forced to read a book instead!
