Cat insurance - Healthy Pets!

My kitty has turned 8 this year and the insurance has gone up to £8.69 per month with a £49 excess with Animal Friends Insurance.
I've just had a look on the moneysupermarket and the cheapest they come up with is with E&L at £7.60.
I ahve found another site (Healthy-Pets.co.uk) which only wants £6.34 for the Gold Cover! Are they a bit dodgy or something?
I've never heard of them before.

We have pet insurance with healthy pets for our 3 animals two cats and one dog all young though it is £7.05 a month can't remember what standard it is, been with them for over a year so had renewal papers etc and they seem a proper company not had reason to claim yet though.0

Hi,
My 3 middle aged cats (all about 13 years old) are insured with Healthy Pets and I can't praise them highly enough. I had reason to claim last year and although they don't deal direct with the vets (i.e. I paid the bill and claimed the money back) the claim was settled very quickly with no quibbles. When the renewal came through this year, I was pleasantly surprised to note it had only risen by £1 per month which given the age of my cats is excellent.
Also, when I rang up with a query over the claim form, the lady I spoke to was so sympathetic it was a pleasure to deal with them.

Well, i think i will go with Health Pets! then. I was just a bit dubious as they seemed so cheap compared to the others. Thanks.0

Thanks for the top tip about healthy pets. We've just got our renewal from Tesco and it's gone up by 30% despite not having claimed this year!
It even states in their renewal letter that periodically, premium increases can arise but this is to stop a big jump in your premium - well I call a 30% increase a big jump!
OH rang them and said we wouldn't be renewing and would also look at cancelling our other policies with them in protest. CSA just said "would you like me to cancel those aswell right now sir!" Obvioulsy not fighting for custom then. :mad:0
