Halifax open new accounts after bankruptcy as Easycash but when going bankrupt accounts will be closed0

Underneath my mattress is looking more and more attractive. At least I know no-one will take it away from me.

The original document with the chart is at:
http://www.moneymadeclear.fsa.gov.uk/pdfs/bank_accounts.pdf
And the chart is:
Halifax is not stated as being OK for bankrupts on there, so not quite sure where that came from.
Nationwide is listed above as being OK, but now doesn't seem to be since the leaflet was last updated in July.:mad:
Looks like people are left with the Co-op and Barclays now.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Me and the OH have decided to go BR for deff. We were thinking of doing it him this month then me next. That way his wage can be paid into my account whilst his br goes through then once the new account is up and running i can transfer my payments into his account whilst i go BR. Does this sound like it will work ok or am i missing something?
Other thing is we have a car each. hubby's is an old vauxhall tigra worth about £1000 at most he uses his to commute to work, mine is a Y reg citreon picasso valued by CCCS as being worth about £2350 Again at most. I use it for the kids and to take my daughter to a special resource centre at the other side of town three times a week as she is deaf. She also has to attend the hospital in the next town every couple of months so i need a reliable car. Thing is both cars are in hubby's name! How will this work do we have to put them both on his BR form?0 -

Easycash - Green card with visa electron
Cardcash (no longer available to apply for new apart from under 18) - visa electron also, blue card
Both basic accounts, but different accounts too
Yes they will close your existing accounts
Cheers for that RS. Just been to check on their website and you are quite correct. They have changed the accounts completely since we opened them. Interesting to note that they haven't changed our card over or notifyed us of the changes. Still we are quite happy with the way things stand.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0
