Hmmm if your LL has passed away who is instructing this new letting agency? Probate can take a while to sort out. In your shoes I'd be tempted just to set aside the rent money without paying it over until you can find out who your LL is now. Then once you know for sure who you have a contract with you can hand over the rent money.0 -
