Insurance for UK short courses, any experiences?

I am about to book a series of short courses (2 to 7 nights duration, all art related) in the UK, and have been advised to get insurance cover in case I have to cancel for any reason such as sickness etc. My OH will be coming with me too, although not actually taking the course (so he'll just be treating them as a holiday).
I have been looking at multi-trip travel insurance, as this seems like a much better option then covering each individual course, but it is confusing as to whether each company classes a short art course as a 'holiday' or not.
Does anyone have insurance cover for this sort of thing, and if so which company did they choose?
Thanks!

If you have a packaged bank account then you may already be covered. The man without a signature.0
