Cheap New York city hotels/B&Bs for 7 nights March 23rd 2017

Hi

I'm looking for somewhere not too expensive to stay in New York next March, is there any recommendations from fellow members that can point me in the right direction of where to look?

It doesn't need to be real posh, but not terrible either. I'm travelling on my own for 7 nights and would ideally like to stay near to Central Park/main part of the city.

Would love some advice thank you.

What is "not too expensive"? Cheap is not a word you'd usually associate with NYC.

just chuck your dates in booking.com or expedia with your dates and see if its in the price bracket you want to pay. then get some cashback through topcashback/quidco.

read reviews on tripadvisor or come back on here and ask if peeps have an opinion on "x" hotel.

Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, Courtyard, Staybridge Suites - you're looking around £150 a night.

If that's not going to work, have a look at staying further out.

Have you looked at Airbnb? I already have a post asking for recommendations. It is the cheapest accomodation I have ever seen. I went to another part of USA, some years ago now, we only booked one night near to the airport (Needed some sleep). The next day we hunted down the tourist info centre, and wow, there were loads of discount vouchers in the free guide.

Bad advice (terrible!) for New York, due to local laws.

Go check out the New York thread, as already mentioned several times
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end
