    I doubt that.

And India will avoid doing business with its former colonial master.

The natives will fall in line when the time comes. They recognise imperialism when they see it.

Instead of master/subject relations, Britain will do really well if it establishes a partnership with its former developing colonies like India, Pakistan etc. These are developing countries with large English speaking populations and a lot of potential to develop into middle income economies. The opportunity for wealth creation would be limitless and both sides would benefit.

... in the same way they've been saying the TR7 was about to become a classic ...

Dunno ... reckon I'd be pretty happy with one of the ones that had passed though the Grinnall factory gates ...

    Hi All,

Just wanted to get a bit of a debate going ...

Which areas of London do you think would be hit the hardest if there is a price drop/crash in this city because of Brexit or for any other reason.

The rich areas: Kensington, Westminster, Mayfair etc
The middle class areas: Islington, Southwark, Hackney etc
The working class areas: Newham, Barking, Catford etc

My mind says maybe right now there is a price correction going on in the rich areas but these will always be desirable to a lottt of wealthy people around the globe so they wouldnt really plummet.
The fight will be between middle class and working class areas.

    What do you think???

    Cheers,
    -A

We went off topic on this quite a bit so going back to the original question ... is there any one who knows which areas were worst hit in the 2007/08 house price crash in London?

There will be no London crash, things are booming, rates are low, population is high and Brexit is an opportunity
  • If you're thinking of buying in London, you should be looking at transport links for work, size and condition of local housing stock, local amenities that suit you (ie leafy parks or trendy coffee shops) rather than trying to second-guess the market.
