seller won't accept payment and has started an Unpaid Item Mutual Agreement

but I want to pay for it and I want the item I haven't agreed to not buying it - the seller only accepts paypal but says she has a problem with paypal so can't take payments (i've tried a few times to pay). But the message I get from ebay is this;

The seller, ********** tells us you have mutually agreed not to complete the transaction (either because you returned or are returning the item for a refund, or because there was a misunderstanding) and has requested a credit for their eBay fees.

Is there other alternative to this? Its narked me a little bit as I really did want the item - I wouldn't have bid on it otherwise :rolleyes: and I don't really see why they should get their fees back for messing me around They won't take any other form of payment.

All you need to do is choose an option that does not get the seller their fees back, go for the one that says something like 'i Still want to buy this item'. That closes down any opportunity the seler has to do an NPB on you and leaves you able to make a complaint against the seller.

However, you can't force the seller to sell.

thank you - I know they won't sell and I can't force them its just the whole thing of them making out like I'm a NPB that is getting me a bit :mad: I really would love to pay for it! :rotfl:

Email them that you are willing to pay for the item and complete the transaction, implying that you will close the dispute that way. If they know they will be losing final value fees they may reconsider.

have they indicated that they wont sell the item even if another payment method is arranged/paypal is fixed?
sounds like they're running you around, if i had my heart set on something and got shafted about like that i would consider reporting them to ebay. In the past i have tried negging people who act like this but of course they can retaliate.....i've had 3 recent negs from this

thanks everyone. I've rejected the mutal withdrawl and stated that I am more than willing to pay and have tried to 4 times but the seller no longer accepts paypal and does not take any other payment method. I'm not going to have it implied that I'm a NPB :mad:

They are from abroad so can't send a cheque etc and I'd only use paypal in this case. I must learn my lessons and stop buying stuff from abroad as recently its caused me nothing but agro :rolleyes:
