Cfo Default

Hi, just wanted to see if i could clear some things up regarding an impending cfo default.I was originally defaulted in 2012 , seemingly correctly to me.Had some nastiness off them and left the debt alone (around 1200).
I complained and they gave me redress for threatening comms. and stated they inaccurately placed a default on my file.Reduced my balance to 450 which i agreed to as that was a fair amount owed.Credit file had the account entry totally removed.
Agreed a £10 a month repayment plan on 25th of each mth and stuck to it for 9 months but recently went onto universal credit.
Could have halted the plan but wanted it gone so stuck to it.
Well last month somehow forgot to make the payment , paid this months on the 11th then got an intention to default email the same day saying it was due to a breach of agreement ,unless we get the 400 odd by August.
Should they have sent me a reminder of Junes missed payment and offered me the chance to correct the breach of £10 as it was first slip up? Set up s/o now. There's no agreement to pay obviously with no file so would a 3 months of no payment before default apply with the 450 considered a fresh loan?
I was ok with a 2012 default but now could end up with it removed and a fresh 2016 one.If i insist the file is made accurate and shows 2012 default can they default me again?.If they put AP on my file can you default originally then if you breach the AP get defaulted yet again?.All very confusing.2.5 years from clean file so this would be a body blow over £10.
I've written a polite email stating that i'm glad we co-operated on the debt and i want it paid, even if on benefit and it was a one off but nothing back yet.Believe they are fully FCA regulated now.
Any advice welcome, thanks.
