When peeking over, the smell was even worse.
It's definitely coming from next door. I'm sorry if some think it's my sense of smell, but our lounge is right next to the garden and it's an overwhelming smell of ammonia.
Do I speak to her? I used to own a dog until last year and brought up with cats in my home etc - i'm not a pet hater lol.
Was there anything that looked like this?https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Viburnum+tinus&client=safari&hl=en-gb&prmd=isvn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwirkOSao__NAhXCLcAKHSgDAtwQ_AUIBygB&biw=1024&bih=672&dpr=20 -

Okay - so your nose was spot on!
In your shoes, I'd hold off making a complaint for a week or two. If the neighbour is now making some effort to deal with the problem (you heard her washing/scrubbing the area) it might be that she didn't bother before but now wants to avoid falling out with the new folks next door.
Maybe wise not to go in all guns blazing so early in the day especially as her improved hygiene may solve the problem without a cross word being spoken. I do hope so.
Good luck.0 -
It can smell pretty bad on concrete in the hot weather. I only have one dog who widdles a bit out in my yard but if I don't hose it away it smells horrible if I want to sit out there. I imagine two dogs who must spend a lot of time there judging by kennel etc would make quite a pong. Quite difficult really but maybe you could open up a conversation sometime soon with new neighbours and somehow suggest that they hose it down more often. I don't envy you that convo."'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life

next time they are out scrubbing go out introduce yourself take an interest in what they are doing and relate to it, make something up about you having a similar problem once and suggest a solution. Keep it civil, they may be embarassed about the smell.0

Yeah sounds like a good idea! I can imagine they'd be embarrassed, I'd be mortified if someone said something like that to me. I don't want them to feel like that, that's horrible and would never want to be responsible for that.0 -
There are specialist disinfectants, especially for kennel use, which kill both smells and germs. One such is Mistral and it comes in a lovely range of scents, including baby powder.
Perhaps you could get some for your own general use ,then tell the neighbour how good it as and offer a trial sample.0
