Holiday home in Turkey

I met someone recently who was selling up in the Uk and buying 2 bungalows in Turkey, one to live in and one to let out for some income. The Coup attempt is a reminder of exactly the kind of thing that can happen in these countries, Turkey has a history of it. You could easily see a new government passing all sorts of laws screwing any foreigners owning property. I wonder what has happened to holiday home prices in Turkey right now?

If I owned one, then I'd be thinking of the best way to sell it. But other than a local, who'd only offer well below the asking price, who'd want to take the risk?

We had a second home in Turkey for 5 years.
2 years ago someone knocked at our door, asking if we would sell.
They desperately wanted to buy in the area and none were for sale.
I agreed ( due to ongoing health problems caused by the sun) and made a profit. I missed it for while but now realise how lucky I was.
I now spend the money on long haul business class flights!
However some of the places people bought were extremely cheap, so if they have had many holidays out of them they are probably willing to take a loss or walk away. I know I would have if mine had been really cheap. I can't see many people wanting to buy there now.Or even visit!
i won't be going back. So many people work in the tourist industry, I wonder what will happen.
