Nationwide card being used by someone else?

My card is protected by 'verified by visa' or something similar when I shop online, Nationwide account. You need a password which it asks me to verify sometimes.
Not with your Nationwide account, they have disabled VbV for their cards, and although you may have a password from the time when they did use it some years ago (as I have) you will never be asked to enter characters from it now.0 -

Did you guys go to the police?
When my father misplaced his bank card and called nationwide they immediately stopped his bank card and send him a new one.
So I don't understand why they world not do the same with your daughter? What happens if you push this button?0 -

Yes this is I would do, we don't know the true conversation that went on, would be good if the OP would update the thread.0 -

My understanding is that there is a daily limit on transactions before needing a PIN. This is a basic common sense security arrangement to reduce the amount that can be spent in the time between a card theft happening and being reported.
This limit may not apply for public transport (e.g. TfL) but would for conventional purchases, if I understand it correctly.
So if you've never been asked for a PIN it may be because you use the card largely for transport, or you have never hit the daily limit. For some cards, iirc, the daily limit is, or was, three.0 -

ATM use also resets the counterEthical moneysaver0 -
I once ' lost' a card, but knew it was somewhere in the house . Even in this case, the bank offered to stop it, but I was lucky to find it during the call ( suddenly remembered where it was last used).0
