Hi,
I have also considered a DB transfer and consulted with Tideway. Their fee at 1% seems relatively cheap, nut my concern is I believe you have to transfer into their SIPP, and then incur their ongoing charges, which are at least double my current SIPP charges. I don't know if they will do the review only, but will be raising with them soon. Did you progress your transfer in the end, I hear many SIPPs will not accept them....0 -
Hi
I spoke to Tideway back in July this year regarding transferring 2 DB schemes which had provided me with Transfer values. My initial dealings with Tideways was positive. I intend to engage them in transferring my schemes shortly. I was advised by an IFA friend to give it a couple of months and then approach both schemes to get another transfer value based on his views that due to the fall in gilts that the values will be higher. I am currently waiting to get my updated values. Tideways charge 1% and you can transfer into any provider you like. I understand that some providers will not accept transfers unless you have received a positive recommendation to transfer but others will simply check that you have received advice (which is a requirement of the regulator if you have a value of £30k).0 -
Hello,
I did not transfer my pension as the existing scheme has delayed the closing date. I am unlikely to transfer but my experience with Tideway was positive and helpful. They said I was not obligated to use their sipp and they would arrange the transfer in accordance with my wish.
Cheers
