How can I recycle a broken oil heater

Hi All

I have an oil heater that's leaking oil and I need to get rid. I want to recycle it but cant work out what kind of recycling it goes with, my first thought was electrical but it's full of oil so perhaps not.

Does anyone know if they can be recycled and if so what kind of recycling should I leave it at?

Thanks :)

I imagine it needs taking to your local 'tip' where oil is recycled. It's probably too heavy for the bin, anyway.

Take it to your local scrap metal merchant. They will remove the oil and then scrap the metal.
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.

Take it to the tip and ask. Electrical items are generally stripped for non ferrous metals and recyclable components. An oil filled radiator is likely to be scrap metal.
