Quick question about deductions for non-dependants

Does it include everyone's income? Does the deduction based on total house income or just the non-dependants? Thanks.

Had a read of your previous posts to check you were talking about housing benefit.

So you live with your mum in a two bed place and your mum is named on the tenancy?

She receives ESA and DLA?

If your mum receives the care part of DLA then NO non dependants deductions will be made. (It should say on her award letter)

If she doesn't receive the care component of DLA then only your salary will be taken into account for the amount of non dependant deduction.

Don't forget to tell your mum to contact the council about what is happening.

It is a deduction based on the non-dependents income
(if there were 2 non-dependents there would be 2 deductions)

Housing benefit reductions depend on the income of your non-dependant.
