Laptop hand luggage, Ryanair & Airport Security

Does anyone know hand luggage restrictions on taking laptop through security with Ryanair ??

Other threads suggest laptop must be part of your 1 piece hand baggage allowance.

I normally take small rucksack which is full with camera, video camera, bits & pieces.

Does the laptop need to fit in this small rucksack ??

Or can I take laptop separately with small rucksack, otherwise I'll have to find another bag to take laptop/camera etc. as the 1 piece hand luggage allowance ??

I don't particularly want to find a bigger bag take to all this stuff, when laptop has its own bag & have sufficient small rucksack -bags in bags !!

If you're going through security at a British airport you're only allowed one bag, everything needs to fit in it.

1 bag Laptop will have to be taken out to be scanned. Thats what happens when I travel.with Ryanair

I've seen a few reports where people have had a laptop and more than one bag - when they approached security they took the laptop out of one bag, put the other bag in the space thus vacated and didn't have any problems

Wouldn't like to risk it though

BTW OP the rules apply to ALL flights from the UK, not just Ryanair
