potential identity theft of deceased child

My sister died as a child more than 30 years ago, however, my Dad received an advert from a gambling company through the post addressed to her the other day. He is still living at the same address. He was upset and angry by this but I'm more concerned that someone has stolen her identity. Is there anyway of checking this out?

Short of contacting the company that mailed out the leaflet, there isn't much you could do. They *might* tell you where they got the name & address from leaving you to follow the breadcrumbs...

Filing a report with Action Fraud would help to protect the family if it does turn out to be a case of stolen identity, but don't expect anything more than a crime number.
Her courage will change the world.

Thanks for that. I'll try them out. Chances are it's nothing but we've never received post in her name before which worries me
