Weekend rental large house UK

Hello

I'm trying to rent some self-catered accommodation for 12-16 people next January. My ideal venue is:
  1. Friday to Monday rental
  2. Near to transport into London
  3. Has a kitchen
  4. Budget is ideally <£1k
  5. Bedrooms not dorm rooms
  6. Ideally nearish to either Stanstead, Luton or Gatwick Airport

Can anyone recommend properties or agencies? This is for a family reunion, so exclusions around stag parties etc aren't an issue.

Any advice on whether I will be able to negotiate a discount, since it's January?

Any other tips on doing this kind of thing are welcome.

Thanks

    Try Owners Direct
Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.

Assuming you are talking outside the New Year bank holiday / school holidays I'd expect the accomodation to already be priced lower than in the summer - in my experience most holiday self catering accomodation adjusts it's prices throughout the year to take into account seasonal demand.

So probably not much chance of any further discount, especially if you want to book it now - most discounts happen at the last minute. But no harm in asking, especially if the prices are set the same throughout the year.

Have a look at https://www.cottageinthecountry.co.uk, just had a look and they certainly have cottages sleeping up to 16 people. The prices appear to be per week but the system allows you to book shorter periods and I am sure for mid January it shouldn't be a problem
