Stoneacre: Lifetime Guarantee Help

Hi all,
I am wondering if anyone can help me.
I bought a second hand car in 2014 from Stoneacre Grantham for £7,000 and the salesman who sold it to me (who actually was the branch manager) offered me lifetime warranty for the car for £1000. I took him up on his offer and had the lifetime warranty added ONTO the value of the vehicle - bringing the total goods value up to £8,000.
I've now had an issue with the vehicle which I would like to claim on the warranty for - however Stoneacre are telling me that they have no record of me purchasing the warranty. Having trawled through the masses of paperwork I was given when buying the car I have managed to provide proof that I do in fact have lifetime warranty, but Stoneacre are backtracking saying that they never add the warranty price onto the value of the vehicle and therefore it must have been given to me for free...
I am PLEASE asking if anybody has also purchased vehicle lifetime warrant from Stoneacre and also had the warranty price added onto the value of the vehicle?
I have contacted two different Stoneacre branches pretending to be a new customer and both advisors have told me you cannot get lifetime warranty for free ever. Citizens Advice Bureau have told me that if I can get confirmation in writing from another customer that they also had the warranty price placed on the goods price then I can strengthen my claim and get my problem solved... I'm completely at a loss! Please help!
Many thanks,
Jennifer

What proof do you have?
If it's an invoice saying "Car £7,000, warranty £1,000" then that should be enough.0 -

What does it matter?
They accept your proof of warranty or they don't. It seems that they do, so assuming the problem is one of the half dozen items actually covered, and cannot be wear & tear, they should be sorting it.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

The proof I have comes under "warranty" where it says my vehicle has lifetime warranty - the issue I have is there is no proof to show the monetary value of £1000 I paid...
So Stoneacre are not disputing I have warranty - they are prepared to honour the warranty but they are not prepared to honour the terms of the warranty I was promised by the manager when I was sold the warranty (getting vehicle repairs done in a local garage as I live over 250 miles away from the branch where I bought the car).
I want help from another customer who can confirm in writing they also had the warranty price added onto the value of the car as then I can continue pursuing the miss-selling of the warranty and hopefully claim the grand back. Citizens Advice Bureau say this evidence from another customer is what I need.... hence why I am so desperately asking if anyone had this!0 -
What do your finance documents say?
What is the wording on the invoice?0 -
As said though, the price you paid for the warranty is irrelevant. If they gave it to you for free then not your problem, they still provided it.0

Is this right? You purchased and car with the warranty 2 years ago
You now have a problem but the warranty will not pay for repairs at a local garage? (which you thought you were able to under the terms of the warranty)
You therefore felt you were missold the warranty and so want your £1000 back but they say it was free
Were you not given any paperwork relating to the terms of the warranty at the time. The problem would be (if I have understood correctly) is if they can show literature with their warranty terms on which were current when you bought the car?0 -
well well, another stoneacre finance house debacle.
don't tell me, they've been through 17 new sales managers in the intervening period.
however the problem here is what is writ in the terms of the guarantee, what sales manager of some sort said 2 years ago during the hard sell is irrelevant, A he could be living in Cambodia now and B they will say anything to anyone to get their commission.
If the guarantee states warranty by Martini, anytime anyplace anywhere, then thats that, if it doesn't thats that too.
It would be interesting to make the 250 mile drive and see if if the problem turns out to be not covered after all.0
