Barclaycard inital

Hi everyone,
Just a quick question, I applied for a barclaycard inital last December and was instantly accepted with a £1200 limit, (I bank with Barclays) I've been with barclaycard for seven months now and I have paid my bills off in full each month not spending more than £250 per month, I would like a credit increase but it appears that inital only have a top limit of £1200, is this correct? What would be the best thing to do, I havnt spoke to Barclays yet, I also have a NBNA all round credit card but that only has a £500 limit that I have had for about 5 months, but don't use it, as the limit is too low, and I don't want to hurt my credit score by using up to much credit.

The limit you see on sites is in relation to the starting limits. As a bad credit card, they are only comfortable giving out £250 to £1,200 initially (excuse the pun!).

Cap1 will give out £250 to £1,500. Vanquis is something like £150 to £1,000.

These are all starting limits only. They have no relation to the max limits you can get once you open and run your account well.

When I was with Barclaycard Initial a few years back I had £2,000+. I believe you can request a limit increase online (but they may credit search you). Or phone and ask them

I have a Barclaycard Initial and my credit limit is higher than £1200.

My Credit limit is currently £1,650 with Barclaycard Initial
