Must be something in the water MrsSave as I was up 3 times in the night to the loo, and had a rubbish nights sleep. I've woke up this morning feeling like I've just finished a marathon! Sounds like you have got plenty on today, try and take it easy (easier said than done I know!!)

Still, last day of work for me this week, and family go home, so I can have a quiet weekend at home. I can finally start my diary and start planning and budgeting, yay!

    Have a lovely day :)

:rotfl: At least I'm not alone!!

I hope work goes ok for you. I bet you're really looking forward to a quiet weekend!

It's going to be one of those days today :rotfl:

Cleaned the downstairs loo. 3 minutes later ds heads in there and has a wee on the floor! :wall:

The nice mummy in me did say "have you had a little accident? Don't worry, mummy will clean it up now". The inside voice said something a little different!! :rotfl:

Didn't have a nsd. Ended up spending £6.49. I ordered a book online for ds. He's so interested in learning his letters at the moment that I ordered a pre schooler work book type thing with a page for each letter. I think it's mainly about colouring in, joining dots, etc to do with the letter. That was £3.99 and I also spent £2.50 on ds's swimming certificate. I had no idea you had to pay for them!! I just assumed they were part of the price of the course!!

Other than that I think we're all pretty tired here tonight. I'm aiming for a little more sleep and I'm hoping (but doubting) that ds will sleep in a little bit in the morning as he needs the sleep!

Ooooh, forgot to mention I had cashback from buying the book online, I've got around £32 waiting to be confirmed at the moment. I've also done a handful of surveys today. They've been so quiet recently that I was amazed to get as many today.

I'm ready for sleep now, so will update further in the morning!!

    Yippee.......I slept all night!! :j
Ds slept until 7:00. His usual wake up time so no sleeping in there!

I checked my emails this morning and my £3.00 delivery saved had one out. I always forget about that. I don't use the delivery too often at the moment, but I'm keeping it for baby arrival/Christmas. Possibly when I'm very heavily pregnant and overdue as well (I'm guessing I'll go over this time as I did by a fortnight last time!).

Today won't be a nsd. We're taking ds to a fire station open day today. There's a few different things there so I'm guessing a few pound will be spent. It's also takeaway night (the nice one once ds is in bed :rotfl: poor boy! We're having a curry tonight. We usually get one main, one rice and one side to share as neither of us are big eaters, and there's loads of food there! We'll share a naan as well, so shouldn't be too expensive. The money is sitting to one side for takeaway night which is nice. I'm aiming for around £15.

We're also needing to get ds a school coat. I've seen a nice £12 one at Tesco, so taking him to try on today.

Yum.....we're having crumpets for breakfast this morning. I bought them on offer during the food shop on Thursday. There's one pack on the freezer for another weekend too.

I've checked YNAB and the accounts this morning already. Everything is looking good. (Well it would be better in the numbers were far bigger, but everything looks correct!!).

I'm going to look at car insurance renewal prices this weekend too, and go through topcashback for it.

    Morning MrsSave,

How bizarre, I also slept through last night! First time in about a month I think!! My hormones must have been playing up last night though, as my OH put on a film after dinner. It was billed as an, "Action, Thriller", so he must of thought we were on safe ground...yeah, the ending had me sobbing my heart out! OH was most bemused, and has told me I'm not banned from watching films :rotfl:

I'm planning on having a quiet weekend. I need to walk to the post box and post a birthday card, but other than that there is nothing pressing I need to do. I just want to do some light tidying up of the house and potter. SIL has offered to do Sunday Roast tomorrow, so one less day of cooking to worry about too.

Have a nice day at the Fire Station, sounds like great fun! :D

Having a quiet sit down whilst dh puts ds to bed.

We've had a lovely day, ds really enjoyed. It wasn't as expensive as I expected either. We ended up spending £3.30 at the open day, and that included an ice cream for ds.

I did pick up some cloudy lemonade from Tesco afterwards (40p!!!). It's my new, favourite pregnancy drink! We then went to Morrisons because they've got some lovely chocolates for £1 per box which they don't have in Tesco. I picked up 2 boxes! We then got some more paint tester pots for doing our bedroom. I got 3 at £1 each. On the way home we decided to pick up a Happy Meal for ds (and I ate a large portion of chips - I'm having a hungry day!!!) which was £4.28.

It did get more expensive though!!!!

Ds put his rugby kit on this morning, which he hasn't worn over the Summer holidays. It 'just' fitted. Literally just. £25 later and the next size rugby kit has been ordered.

Oh, and we've been invited to a big family party early next year. We've known about it for a while, and we will definitely be going. The hotel where the party will be is a ridiculous price for 1 night, and I figured it could be noisy at bedtime for the little ones (the second one will be here by then!!). So having a look around there's a new budget hotel opening there within the next month. I've been keeping an eye on the website for a while because I was told that we could book before they opened.

I checked this evening and the rooms are now available to book. As we want a family room and there will be lots of other families booking I booked straight away. £54 for the family room. I stupidly forgot to click the 'cot' button so I have to phone tomorrow to see if I can add it to the room. I couldn't do it tonight as I booked a saver rate, so need to speak with the saver team to see if they're willing to change the booking (I only want a cot!!!).

It's takeaway time here tonight. Hoping it comes in at under £15. I think that will be enough spending for today then!!!

Takeaway was £14.70 so a little under budget. :j I am so stuffed now, though! I've crawled into bed (it's still early but I haven't had an afternoon nap since last Sunday!), which smells lovely.......I washed our bed sheets this morning and they dried out on the line. I love clean bed linen day! We also managed to squeeze one more load of washing in, though I think there will be more tomorrow.

I'm keeping an eye on my Tesco credit card spends this month as well. I'm pretty sure I wanted it under £800 (I'll have to look back to check). It's nearly at £600 already! But, there shouldn't be many more expensive spends this month now. Food and petrol should be the main bulk. I hope anyway. Things seem to crop up all the time (like a rugby kit!!!).

I forgot to mention that the coat I saw for ds was in Tesco, but they only had the small sizes. I haven't ordered one online yet, as I'm going to have a proper dig through to see if he's got something suitable here first. If not, I'll order it online.

Eyebright, I hope you're having a nice, quiet weekend. :rotfl: about the film!! I'm definitely more emotional now, as well. The joys!!

Ooooh, I found a first world pregnancy problem. I couldn't eat our takeaway at the coffee table in the living room (it's our sat night treat in front of the tv). My bump was in the way and made breathing slightly difficult :rotfl: Thankfully I managed to get around it by eating off a tray on my lap! They just don't warn you about these pregnancy problems :rotfl:

Sunday. That last week went super quick. Work tomorrow, but it looks like it will be a 1 day week again this week. Not surprising, just hope things change a little!

I'm aiming for today to be a nsd, other than car insurance. I think it will be a quiet one at home, with a film and a hot chocolate this afternoon. I've got a gammon joint for dinner, so will put that in the slow cooker this morning. Will make some parsley sauce to go with it. Yum! There should be plenty left over for tomorrow's dinner and then sandwich fillings for a couple of days.

I need to check that I've got everything sorted for work tomorrow, and that ds is all ready for school. My mil will be taking/collecting him tomorrow (so I'll need to make sure the house is tidy too!!).

Oh, I've just looked back and the aim was to get the Tesco credit card under £1000, or ideally under £900. I wonder if I can get it to £800 this month?! That's my aim!
