First Direct fee

I currently have an account with First Direct which will soon not have enough coming into it to meet the £1500 pay-in required to be free-free.
However, I notice in the FAQs that if I have a savings account then the fee is not payable.
I have an e-Savings account with them with the grand total of about 78pence in it. Does that count?

It certainly appears to meet the requirement.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
