My child has been working since leaving school last June last year at £4.00 a hour.
Unfortunately he's been involved in a accident, he had 2 days off sick months ago, would he be entitled to ssp, my concern is he earns so little but works 40 hours a week. I've done a calculator which stated £80 a week but wonder if it's right.
Any help appreciated, whether I'm right or wrong. Thank you.
Edit he only recently turned 17.

Thank you darksparkle for the link you've just confirmed he'll be entitled. The doctor signed him off before the 4th day even due to the injury. Though I understand he'll get nothing for the first four days, he earns just under £160 a week0

He'll get nothing for the first 3 days but SSP from
Day 4.
That is unless the company have their own sick policy that may be better than SSP.0 -
Thank you darksparkle, no company sick pay but enough for him to live on. You're right nothing for 3 days don't know why I thought 4. Thank you very much for the link.0
