Roll up garage door - Hormann or SeceuroGlide?

As the title says, which would you go for, or actually have?

Pros and cons of either?

Cheers fj

I've had two Securaglide previously and were cheaper than Horman and had all the benefits of insulation, smooth operation, security, colour options, so will probably have same again on my current project.

Not sure where you are, but mine were from Garage Doors Luton, if you google them and talk to Gary, small established family firm. I've recommended a couple of times on here,

Thanks VB, strangely the Hormann roll up door is cheaper than the SeceuroGlide down here in the Southwest! The Hormann is also insulated, looks identical to the SeceuroGlide as well.

So I'm tending towards the Hormann right now.

I bought a Cardale Thermoglide door (exactly the same as a Novatherm door I think) and it's been great so far.

When I was looking to buy I called around the manufacturers and authorised dealers to find out if they had any cancelled orders or miss measured ones going cheap and picked the one that was closes to my needs. I was building my garage at the time so was able to get the opening made the right size but most are easy to mount behind an opening (if your opening is smaller) or to frame out (if your opening is larger).

I had a seceuroglide installed at my old house. 5 years, used multiple times every day, not a sniff of a problem with it.

I've had the Hormann sectional double door for 10 years with no problems. Don't you think the roll up doors look a bit industrial?

Each to their own Phil, that looks like the entrance to an industrial unit to me, but I'm a traditional old chap who doesn't do modern!
