Credit expert query

Hi, I have just checked my credit file, the number has decreased but I've been on here enough to know it is irrelevant, however I've paid off my card balance and my very account however neither of these are showing. I don't need to apply for credit or anything yet.. But I would like these accounts marked as settled. Should I wait to the next update or contact them - just thought the longer the accounts are settled the better. Thanks for reading.

If your accounts appear on whichever CRA you are checking, then they will be updated automatically.
If they're not already showing, then they won't show just because they're settled.0 -
Hi, I didn't explain myself very well. What I meant was the card (acqua) and very account still show the full balances. I have paid them off. Sorry for confusion0

Then they will update automatically when they next report and your file is next updated.0

Thanks for reply. It did make me laugh to see that I had been searched for a bank account I applied for and a credit card which I did actually get 0% for a year! Clydesdale in case anyone is interested... But the paying off of my accounts is not listed. I just want to let the accounts settle and be in a better position to re mortgage. Thanks for your input xx0

Searches appear in real-time as they are made directly against the CRAs database.
You paying off your balance is only going to Aqua's database. It's up to Aqua when they send a copy of that to the CRAs.
It's not instant. It should be monthly. Some places (e.g. Lloyds) consistently seem to be at least 6 weeks behind - that's why the general rule is wait 6-8 weeks to see updates to account info (including credit limit etc).
My credit limit with JD Williams went up to £600 quite a few months back, then £900 2 months ago. It's only last month the CRAs have twigged that I've got raised to £600 - that's how delayed it can be!0
