I got a new sky q hub from sky but the dsl cable is too short. I am wondering whether I could use the existing and will it make a difference in the connection. Thanks

You won't know if it will/won't work until you try it.0

No, it is a special cable that only integrates with the q aspect of the hub. If you use lesser cables you would invalidate your warranty, and be cut off from the internet for ever more.
