A gentleman named Stephen has failed to pay his minium payment to Vanquis this month. Unfortunately for me (and I guess Vanquis) he gave them the wrong mobile number when he set up the account so I receive all the texts chasing (and probably calls but I can't answer my phone during work hours).
Is it worth me even attempting to explain this to them or will they just ignore it if I do? I'm guessing they won't be able to figure out his account details to sort it?

I doubt they will speak to you, data protection and all of that. I'd block their number.0

I'm guessing that the messages are addressed to someone else's name. In that case just ignore it. If the messages are addressed to your name then it's identity theft.0
