Monument Credit Card - Closed Account

I've been slowly paying off an old Monument Credit Card for years now and still have several hundred pounds outstanding. However, checking my latest clearscore the other day I noticed it says my account is now closed?? Further, the last green spot on the payment history is back in February (2016 - am typing this in July) but the Standing Order has continued since, unaffected.
Is it safe to cancel the SO and see what happens? I'm still receiving paper statements through the mail from them.

Update, have just checked noddle too and saying the same thing (more or less.) I'm going to bite the bullet and go ahead and cancel my payments, if there is a problem i'll report back but if I don't post anything further it's safe to assume that the debt has been canceled.
THE POINT IS; Strongly urge all holders of outstanding Monument debts to check your credit file and see if the account has been closed - as mine seemingly has.
Annoyingly have paid them £110 since March when it was closed, grrrr.0 -
That's a big assumption to make.
If you stop paying it will be defaulted, which may or may not affect you.
Wouldn't it be sensible to contact the provider, or whoever has inherited the debt, to get more information?0 -
It could be that the debt has been sold on either internally or to another company.
If you want to repair your credit history then this is not the way to do it.
What amount does your paper statement show as outstanding?0 -
