Legal and General adding mortgage interest to documents

I've just received a request from my solicitor to provide policy documents for the buildings insurance.
They have stated that Halifax must be shown as having an interest on the documents.
i have already arranged insurance with legal and general and cannot speak to them until tomorrow.
Has anyone managed to get them to add the interest for a mortgage provider?

Legal and general won't note an interest on the policy documents but will send me a cover letter to state that they are aware of the mortgage being with Halifax.
My solicitor thinks that the cover letter should be acceptable.0
