Anyone been somewhere with a fab kids club??

Hey everyone, I want to book a cheap getaway with my DS aged 3 but I want somewhere with a really good kids club. Has anyone been away this year with kids under 4 and found anywhere with akids club that caters for them?
There are a couple but they are £500+ each for a week SC in Spain which I think is ridiculous. I went to Cuba in April and chose hotel because kids club was advertised, but when I got there it was never open. In Malta last year, the agent sought out a hotel with kids club and it turned out it was for 5-12 year olds, and only ran for 2 hours in the morning anyway.
I want somewhere with a kids club for a 3 year old, that runs all day (or at least 4 hours a day) so that I'm not tied to a set slot and can come and go as we please.
Please don't reply saying look after child myself all week cos I did that in Cuba and it wasn't fun on my own with a 3 year old in 120 degrees and nothing to do.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated!! X

Lykia World in Turkey, you can DIY it normally for Ok prices depending on time of year. Costs a bit more than normal but is Full Board and a bit so that cuts down on some costs0

Ayios Elias in Protaras Cyprus, with a kids club thats out of this world, went back there three times when the children wer younger, kids club runs from 8am until 9pm breakfast lunch and dinner available and activities that would cost you a fortune but dont cost a penny it's all part of the complex.
The childminders there have worked there for years, are fantastic, my kids now 11 and 14 still talk of them to this day and they still receive birthday cards off them every year.0 -
Thanks guys, I have actually booked already to go to Lykia world next June but can't afford it last minute cos it'd need paying for in one swoop. Glad to see a recommedation; it's nice to know its a great place when I'll be paying for it for nearly a year to go!! I'll look into Cyprus - thanks again!! x0

Dont think it worked. Whats the hotel name and what country? I'll just google it. I want to go long haul at Xmas cos I think its too late in the season now to go to Europe, was thinking Dom Rep or Cuba again in December

You can get some good deals with Mark Warner. I went to Lakitira a couple of years ago and can highly recommend.
Don't be put off by the dreadful events in May with the McCanns. The Portugal site is very different to the other sites. In Portugal the apartments are within a village, the others are all within a compound for want of a better word, there are fences up, and proper night time child care, as opposed to Portugal.
My son had the time of his life, and I will only go to Mark Warner to leave my children in childcare from now on.0 -
Thanks, I looked at those but it was like £1200 for a week 3* HB in Europe and I just thought it was a rip off given that a last minute cruise is £1000 for us both with 24 hour food, some drinks and 5* luxury! Cruises have excellent childcare but its a bit expensive for a last minute getaway. Was looking to spend maybe £250-300 each for 3/4* Half Board for a week as it isn't our main holiday just a cheap getaway before my uni term starts in October.
Might do a Mark Warner in summer 2009. I'll have a look if there's any last minute....maybe its cheaper last minute....0 -
we went to the first choice holiday village in sharm el sheikh. The kids clubs were great, very well run, couldn't fault the staff and there was something for everyone from tots to teens. There was even an evening session from 9 -11pm which was fab for us,it meant that we could enjoy a"child free" meal whilst Ds stuffed his face silly at the chocolate party, other activities included a mini bug safari, pirate party, craft sessions, film nights etc.
we came back from this years holiday and immediately booked for next year.0 -
Nottslass thanks I think ive seen that place in the brochure.... I might book there then!! There's nothing worse than getting on holiday and finding the kids club only runs 5 days a week for 2 hours a day, which is my biggest fear since I'd like a couple of hours a day to sunbathe and stuff! That souds fab! x0
