Postgraduate Banking

Hi there

I graduated from Durham University last summer (2015). I had a student bank account with the Co-Op, which was changed into a Graduate account this year. On August 31st, this will turn into a Current account.

This year, I am starting a 1 year MRes course at Nottingham University. I am taking a £10k postgraduate loan, and will have saved at least £5000 too. I am wondering about student bank accounts - is it possible (or desirable) to have a student account for postgraduate study? If so, what are the best accounts, and if not, what other options are there?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
Jack
