Nationwide flex basic upgrade

Hi all
Does anyone know if you can upgrade this type of account or do I need to do a new application for a flex account?
I have had the account 6 months now and there is no option to upgrade online like other bank accounts?
Does nationwide have internal scoring if so when do they update their systems?
Thanks
Paul
