Hi all
HM pizza for tea, using up lots of leftovers which always goes down well.
Trying to find DS2 some shorts without much luck. He is so skinny around the waist and wants knee length shorts that are skinny in the leg, must be black or grey and not denim. Ordered a couple of pairs online but they are no good. Sigh.
Need to update my spreadsheets but it can wait until tomorrow.0 -
Hello Friday Frugalistas,
Wasn't going to bother but changed my mind & decided to kick in my list:
*Went into town & bought only ONE CABBAGE!! No-one can say I don't know how to live the high-life. 60p. On a brassica. Go me!
*I was treated to a coffee & cake in my favourite indie coffee shop. Joined the new loyalty card scheme.
*Making food for today's guests must have been economical as it involved taking 9 things out of the freezer. Small amount of leftovers saved for tomorrow's lunch.
*Usual random selection of gifts from my Mum - some saved aquilegia seeds from her rather posh white one I'd admired, 2 packets of expensive looking paper napkins, 1 large shasta daisy plant, 1 bottle of excellent beer, 2 tins of cat food, 1 large pile of magazines, 1 box of tissues & a knitting pattern (this turned out not to be for me as it was her friend's but the friend was stuck on part of it so Mum had volunteered me to have a look at it & write out the instructions. Suppose it's nice to be useful!)
*Made tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Checked veggie garden.
*Collected another £5 of knitting money.
*Cast on another Christmas present. I've got 2 on the go at once now.
*Changed our grocery shopping plans. We can last until Sunday & will go to Aldi instead of an online order elsewhere as it will be quite a lot cheaper.
More stuff tomorrow as I am planning to tackle a lot of financial stuff.
Can hear cat yowling piteously outside window.....will go & see what he's up to.
F x2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!0
