Sky high electricity bills!!!

As a tenant I've just moved into a small detached cottage. Trouble is, it's 100% electric and is on three floors.

How can I find the best deall of electricity here. I think it's going to cost a fortune especially in winter. Every room has storage heaters as you'd expect.

Plus two power showers. TV. Lighting. Electric hob, oven grill, microwave washing machine, dish washer and hot water tank. Plus all the little things like phone chargers, PC, laptop, router.

Please take time to understand both your meter and its timings of the low and high rate.Watch out for your supplier getting the low/high rates (or night and day ) transposed because they are experts at messing it up. As a true Eco 7 consumer you need to make sure that they get it right because you will be using more night rate units than day.
If you happen to have one of the old analogue circular 24 hour timerswitches controlling the switchover , watch carefully when it decides the night rate is coming on because it could be at any time in the 24 hrs and not at the published times .Digital meters with built in timers and radio teleswitch are much more reliable with the switch over times. The night rate in BST will come on an hour later than in GMT. The digital meters are set to follow GMT all year.
