ex-friend asking for £400 in damages!
Last summer I helped a friend push his car as his gearbox failed about 200 yards away from home (we were housemates as well). By pushing the car it caused an inwards dent on his boot door. We since went our separate ways (for other reasons) at the end of the year and never contacted one another again, but today he emailed asking for £400 as that is what it cost to repair.
Am I liable to pay for this?

Boot dent is absolutely not going to cost £400 to fix, it's one of the easier areas to get access to push/pull dents out.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
