RT with Quote on Twitter

When you click retweet a pop up box comes up showing the tweet you've chosen to retweet with a box above saying "Add comment.." - click here and that will allow you to add your own text and the tweet you've selected with be quoted beneath your added text.

nope, I just get a pop up box with a 'retweet' button and the text to be retweeted nothing else. I've messaged twitter support on twitter but no reply so far. But ty for explaining at least I know what I should have now.

That's strange. I wondered when the OP mentioned it being a recent change why that was as it has been like that for me for some time. Perhaps it is a gradual change. Although not sure how. I could understand with the App as some people may have older versions but not sure how that would work on a computer.

I suddenly got the extra comment box on the retweet today, so guessing they have somehow been rolling it out gradually. A friend I know hasn't got it yet.
